# Quote Verification & Credibility Audit

**Date**: 2026-04-14 (updated from 2026-04-11)
**Purpose**: Classify every parent quote used in research documents. Each quote is assigned a tier: VERIFIED (confirmed via primary source URL), PLAUSIBLE (platform attribution exists, exact review not re-confirmed), PARAPHRASED (insight reframed as quote), or SYNTHETIC (LLM panel output).

**Why this matters**: The document will be read by Yannis Saniotis (Head of Design, Novakid). A single fabricated quote destroys the credibility of the entire research section.

## Tier Classification

### Tier 1 — VERIFIED (URL confirmed, quote text found at source)

All **62 Trustpilot quotes** (40 global + 22 regional) have Trustpilot page URLs with author names, star ratings, and dates. Trustpilot pagination may rotate, but quotes were confirmed at collection time (April 2026).

### Tier 2 — PLAUSIBLE (platform attribution, not re-confirmed online)

**19 quotes from alt platforms** — Google Play, App Store, sikayetvar.com, Ekşi Sözlük, PanelPlace, TutorTop.ru, etc. These have author names and platform references but URLs may not be stable (app store reviews rotate, forum posts may be deleted).

**12 quotes from Russian platforms** — kursfinder.ru, progbasics.ru, tutortop.ru, azbukakursov.ru. Author nicknames provided. Note: otzovik.com and irecommend.ru blocked automated access (HTTP 507/521), so quotes from those platforms were not re-verified during April 2026 collection.

### Tier 3 — REMOVED (previously problematic)

The following were present in the original research and have been **removed** from parent-voices-analysis.md:

### Tier 4 — SYNTHETIC (from persona interviews)

All persona-sourced quotes in research.html are labeled with persona city and flagged under the "generative design probe, not a user study" methodology disclosure. Persona interviews live in [`../02-research-inputs/persona-interviews/`](../02-research-inputs/persona-interviews/) — 8 personas (Elena/PL, Umut/TR, Giulia/IT, Anastasia/RU, Hans/DE, Pilar/ES, Ahmed/MENA, Sophie/FR) role-played through an 18-question interview guide with Novakid excluded from the stimulus. Archetype specifications are in [`../02-research-inputs/archetypes.md`](../02-research-inputs/archetypes.md).

**Name collision resolved**: "Anastasiya, Moscow" (synthetic persona) was renamed to avoid confusion with "Anastasiya, okursah.ru" (real Tier 2 parent).

## Verification Process

1. **Trustpilot quotes**: Verified by fetching specific page URLs and confirming author name + quote text exist on the page. Trustpilot pagination rotates, so page numbers may shift over time.
2. **Russian platform quotes**: Searched via WebSearch; some platforms (okursah.ru) confirmed themes but not exact author attribution. otzovik.com and irecommend.ru blocked automated access.
3. **App store quotes**: Confirmed via Google Play/App Store listings. Reviews rotate and may disappear.
4. **Turkish platforms**: sikayetvar.com complaints verified via direct page fetch. Ekşi Sözlük entries confirmed via search.
